Stephen Bartal's Initial Blog Post

Background

My background in BIM is fairly limited to date. I have been introduced to Revit through a few classes here at Drexel university. I also worked in Revit often during my co-op at Ewing Cole. I have a fair amount of knowledge of the basics in Revit, but I am not familiar with the more intricate techniques, or with other BIM programs.

Expectations for the class

I expect to learn how to use Revit at a higher level and learn new techniques that I have not previously been exposed to. I also expect to be exposed to other BIM type programs in some form.

Definition

My initial definition for Intelligent Building is a building which provides a productive and cost-effective environment through optimization of structure, system, service, and management, and their interrelationships.
