- Prior to this class, I have not received any exposure to the subject of intelligent buildings specifically, but I might have unknowingly learned some information about intelligent buildings from previous classes, not aware of the fact that I was in fact learning about intelligent buildings.
Expectations for the Class:
- Through this class I expect to obtain a strong foundation in the subject of intelligent buildings. I expect to speak intelligently on intelligent buildings if anyone asked me a reasonably question on the subject.
Initial Definition of "Intelligent Building:"
- My initial definition for an intelligent building would be a building structure that is "self-aware" in a variety of facets and functionalities. Whether that means that the building can monitor its own energy usage or manage other resources that it encounters with minimal human interaction would illustrate the aforementioned "self-awareness"
