P1- Project and Team

Topic

3-D printing has is going to provide many opportunities, but the concept also has many flaws. Most people expect that these will become mainstream to the point that they will be household items. However, peer-to-peer sharing, which has been limited to software, would allow people to virtually pirate physical goods. Also people could potentially create personal weapons in their own home. This project hopes to discover what 3-D printing is capable of and then examine the social impacts of this new technology if it were to become mainstream.
