- Your background relevant to Intelligent Buildings

Thus far in my class work and work experience I have had limited exposure to BIM and other intelligent building software.  I have had the opportunity to do small homes in Revit for a few courses and have been in meetings where I observed architects using Revit for presentation purposes but other than that I have not had much exposure to Intelligent Buildings.  I have also seen it used on job sites for coordination purposes and scheduling

- Your Expectations for the Class

I hope this class will hope break the ice of what is out there in terms of intelligent buildings; what is out there, how we currently use it for, what it can be used for in the future.  I do not expect to become any form of expert on the matter of intelligent buildings but hope to use this class as a stepping stone in the right direction.

- Your Initial Definition of Intelligent Buildings

An Intelligent Building is either the design or construction of the built environment that is aided by using technological advancements to better the safety or quality of life of those occupying the building.
