Term Project Ideas - Ian Lagrange

Topics of Interest:

  • 3D printing in general. Or 3D printing using more than one material, if it can be achieved using current technology.
  • The possibility of having "home networks" between appliances and utilities to maximize or automate certain processes at home. For example, having a refrigerator which detects the need for more vegetables and shares that information via the network the owner can easily see.
  • An interesting research topic would be to look at the capabilities of robotics when it comes to human interface and what can be done to diversify the way a person may interact with a robot, not just by coding but by language and physical touch.
if anyone would like to work on their term projects or suggest ideas, you can email me at ian.lagrange@gmail.com.

Mike Wright Project Ideas

1. 3-D printing and the impact on society. How will 3-D printing effect the workforce, will 3-D make      weapons more accessible, what kind of regulations will be set, and how will pirating effect 3-D printing?

2. Robotics in Construction- I would like to research how effective robots would be in construction during the present and future.

3. Robotics in Operation

4. Senior Design with BIM

5. Malicious network use

I would like a group if any of these topics interest anyone else.
